Rural policy committee

The task of the Rural Policy Committee is to reconcile the rural development measures and promote the efficient use of resources directed to the rural areas.

Cooperation arrangements support national, regional and local rural development work and improve the capacity to utilise the programmes part-funded by the EU and the other rural policy instruments.

The term of the current Rural Policy Committee is 17 July 2008 – 16 July 2013. It continues the work of the earlier Rural Policy Committees, which were appointed by the Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
